CPN » Michael Malone and The Four Corners of the Sky at New Dominion

Michael Malone, author of The Four Corners of the Sky, was here for an appearance at New Dominion Bookshop a few weeks ago. I had the honor of introducing him to the audience. I first came to know about Michael from a friend on BookBalloon, who suggested we invite him to our discussion forum for a question and answer session. He was great — I felt like we only began to touch the surface of his knowledge of Southern literature, his own long and successful career as an author, and his tremendous charm, which I think also comes through loud and clear in the recording I’ve linked to here, courtesy of the Charlottesville Podcasting Network. I invite you to take a few minutes to listen, and to also feel free to join us at BookBalloon; the Michael Malone Q&A is still available to registered members (registration is free).

Michael Malone is the author of ten novels, one collection of short stories, and two works of nonfiction. Among his prizes are the Edgar, the O. Henry, the Writers Guild Award, and the Emmy. He lives in Hillsborough, North Carolina, with his wife, Maureen Quilligan.
