  • Looking for book suggestions? Got a hot book tip to share? Head over to the JRML YA blog:

"Welcome to the blog of Jefferson-Madison Regional Library’s Young Adult Services department, an online community where teens can talk about anything and everything related to books, reading, and libraries. To post a book, cd, or movie review or to suggest a program, send an email to jmrlya@jmrl.org. There’s only one rule: be respectful of yourself and others at all times. Happy reading and we hope to see you at the library!"

  • 'In my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind since. “Bounty! The quicker picker-upper.”

'“Whenever you feel like criticising any one,” he also told me, “just remember a little dab’ll do ya and all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had. Think different.”'

  • "Blackfriars Playhouse in historic downtown Staunton, Va. is featuring three Shakespeare plays this summer: The Merry Wives of Windsor, Titus Andronicus and Much Ado About Nothing, all of which are running until the end of August. "

I can attest that their Much Ado is excellent — hilarious, tragic, suspenseful, all in turn — and I can't wait until Titus starts.

  1. Argh! I must get out there to see Much Ado. It’s one of my favorite Shakespeare plays, and I love visiting the theater.

  2. We saw it last week and it was fantastic. I’m really looking forward to Titus Andronicus — can’t wait to see what the company does with that one!
