Upcoming events and classes at Virginia Arts of the Book Center

From my inbox:

Friends of the VABC,

Join us on Sunday, Sept 20th, from 1-5PM, for “Summer’s Last Stand: A Lemonade Fellowship” at the Virginia Arts of the Book Center.

We are celebrating our latest broadside–Jennifer Perrine’s poem “If Life Gives You Lemons, Make”–and toasting the equinox with lemonade. (Lavender lemonade while it lasts, also a $25 members’ price on the broadside.)

We’ll also have on display some preliminary work on the “Infinite Stakes” project (a contemporary cartomancy deck) and have a brief meeting about the project at 2PM. This limited edition deck of contemporary fortune-telling cards was created by VABC members, and will be auctioned at the Nov 13th 5th annual Raucous Auction.

Go online to search our preliminary calendar of upcoming events, workshops, and classes. A few big dates are below. (Contact me for class registrations, kmcfadden @ virginia.edu.)
