Coming to WriterHouse in October — crazy busy terrific writer-stuff

If you’re a writer, and you live within a 50-mile radius of Charlottesville, can I just assume I’ll be seeing you at WriterHouse in October? I know I’m going to be there…

Saturday, October 10, 2-4p: NaNoPrepMo. November is National Novel Writing Month, but savvy novelists will begin preparing in October so they can hit the ground writing on November 1. We’ll meet again on the 18th and 25th from 2-4p.

Saturday, October 17, 9a-1p: Elements of Fiction—Plot. Instructor Andrew Ewell will guide you through the forest of plot in this focused half-day seminar. $80. Members receive a 10% discount.

Friday, October 23, 7p: Jennifer Burns (Goddess of the Market) will be our guest for a discussion of her biography of one of capitalism’s most influential and polarizing figures: Ayn Rand.

Saturday, October 24, 9a-1p: Writing About Food. Mollie Cox Bryan (Mrs. Rowe’s Little Book of Southern Pies) will show you how to combine two great loves: food and writing. $80. Members receive a 10% discount. Come meet Mollie on Saturday, October 3 at the Cville PieFest!

Saturday, October 24, 7p: Stephen Elliott and The Adderall Diaries. Come hear Stephen talk about his latest book — part memoir, part true-crime account — and bring him your questions about memoir and memory.
