From J-MRL: Best of 2009

From Jefferson-Madison Regional Library, a look at their 2009 stats:

Jefferson-Madison Regional Library is experiencing its highest use ever.  In 2009, over 1.2 million visitors used the library’s branches in Albemarle, Charlottesville, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson.  Over 1.6 million books were checked out.

Which books were most popular?  THE ASSOCIATE, by local author John Grisham, was at the top of the list for 2009 with 489 circulations.  SCARPETTA, by Patricia Cornwell, came in second with 396 circulations.

  1. I’ve read four of the ten — #1, #6, #7, and #9. #7 and #9 were excellent, the other two were pretty good.
