1. Spaces are still available in our Saturday Seminar, “Happily Ever After: Writing Romance Novels for Love and Profit,”  taught by Leeyanne Moore this Saturday, April 17, from 9am-1pm. By the end of the session you’ll be ready for your next step, whether it’s churning out pages or submitting your work to an editor or agent. Cost: $65 non-members, $60 members. 2. Book Launch: Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine–This Sunday, April 18, 7:00pm. Join WriterHouse member Kathryn Erskine to celebrate the release of  Mockingbird, the story of ten-year-old Caitlin, whose Asperger’s makes it difficult to process the loss of the older brother who helped her make sense of the world. Mockingbird is an ALA Best Fiction for Young Adults Nominee. Copies of Kathy’s new book and also her first book, Quaking, will be available for purchase and signing. Free and open to the public.
