WriterHouse still enrolling young writers, travel writers

WriterHouse: SPACES AVAILABLE IN TWO UPCOMING COURSES

There are still spots available in the second session of “The Writer’s Palette: A Workshop for Rising 7th & 8th Graders.”Instructor Jen Wilson will introduce students to the various tints and hues that writers of all genres use, with a focus on generating a variety of writing, including  memoir, fiction, poetry, and play writing. The class meets from Monday to Friday, July 18-22 from 1:00 to 3:30. The cost is $125.

For the (ahem) more mature set, there’s still room in Jay Kauffmann’s upcoming seminar on travel writing. During this half-day class, Jay will show student the techniques they can use to to write compelling and engaging travel narratives (personal essays, articles or memoir pieces), combining the eye of a journalist with the flair of a storyteller. The seminar will be held on Saturday, July 23 from 9am-1:30pm. The cost is $55/members or $60/non-members.
